Patch flag of one of the most fertile and agriculturally used areas of England. This geographical-historical land covers the eastern part of the country and in the past it was covered with peat bogs, which drained over time and began to be used for agriculture, which has remained to this day. The word Fenland (Fen) in English means lowland wetlands.
The patch depicts a Fenian tiger (historical term associated with the early Dutch drainage) placed on a yellow stripe (agricultural character of the area) between two blue stripes (former wetlands).
