The symbol patch for amateur radio practitioners. The international mark includes in its logo a diagram of the radio's structural circuit radio: an antenna, inductor and ground.
This hobby brings together people who establish and receive contact via radio waves on separate radio bands of different wavelengths, using radio stations which, interestingly enough, they can construct on their own without the need to obtain approval for them, unlike other operators of radio communication devices. You can communicate in several ways: voice, Q code, shortwave slang, Morse code or even text or images using a computer with appropriate software. The beginning of communication always takes place according to established rules: the interlocutor is found by generally calling or calling a specific sign, then reports on audibility and signal strength are exchanged, personal details are provided, and then the actual conversation begins (except for political and religious topics, which are prohibited on amateur bands according to the rules adopted by this community).
April 18 is World Amateur Radio Day.
