Coat of arms of Przemysl

Patch with the coat of arms of the city located in south-eastern Poland.

On the patch we see a walking brown bear, which, according to local legends, was supposed to show Prince Przemysł the place where he was supposed to establish his stronghold during the hunt. Above the animal there is a golden bachelor's cross, introducing the spirit of Christianity in this area. The whole is placed on a blue shield, considered a royal shade. Above the shield, another sign of royal power - a golden crown. Under the shield you can see a golden ribbon with the inscription Libera Regia Civitas (Royal Free City).
