Embroidered patch - Quebec Flag - made by computer embroidery with merrow on blue not embroidered background.
The flag of Quebec (usually called Fleurdelisé) reminds us of the strong French ties of this region in the colonial times of America.
The main theme of the four lilies (fleury-de-lis) is a symbol often used in Catholic France - the flowers symbolized purity. The blue background is the color-symbol of heaven, but also associated with French and British troops colonizing these areas.
The white cross in the inner part separating the individual quarters with the lilies is the symbol of Jesus / reminiscent of the ancient French military banner.
Quebec was the first to have an independent provincial flag.
